Gas Heat ESCO Practice Exam

A spark igniter operates at a high voltage in order to create a spark that ignites the gas in a gas heating system. Typically, spark igniters operate at voltages of 10,000 VAC and higher to generate a strong spark that can ignite the gas efficiently. Lower voltages like 1,000 VAC, 120 VAC, or 250 VAC would not be sufficient to create a reliable spark for ignition in a gas heating system.
